A Snowed In Candle for the Day the Roads Don't Open

Scents: Peppermint · Spice · Honey · Tea · Hand-poured in: North Carolina, USA · From: $11.99 (wax melts)

This snowed in candle blesses the closed schools for book lovers — cool peppermint at the window, warm winter spice on the stove, honey stirred into strong black tea, and no reason to be anywhere.

Light it with cozy winter romance, comfort rereads, and any TBR pile you have been saving for a real snow day. Like every Aarka Origins candle, it is truly handmade: hand-poured in small batches in North Carolina from 100% pure soy wax, with no paraffin and no blends.

Scent Notes

PEPPERMINT · SPICE · HONEY · TEA
Fragrance family: Herbal & Sweet

Why Book Lovers Choose Snowed In & Reading

Truly handmade — poured, wicked, and checked by hand in North Carolina, not run off an industrial line with an "artisan" label added later.
100% pure soy wax — no paraffin, no blends; a clean, even burn through long reading sessions.
Non-toxic — phthalate-free, dye-free, vegan, cruelty-free fragrance oils; safe to burn in bedrooms, nurseries, and small reading nooks.
Lead-free cotton wick — a steady, quiet flame that will not compete with the story on the page.
Honest pricing — wax melts from $11.99, while comparable bookish candles elsewhere often run $18–30+.

Every jar in the Snowed In & Reading pour is inspected before it ships, from wick centering to label alignment, so what arrives at your door is the same candle Aarka's makers would keep on their own shelf. It is part of a catalog of 280+ book-inspired scents — one of the widest bookish ranges anywhere — and each one is designed to smell like a story you can name, not a generic fragrance with a bookish label pasted on.

Snowed In & Reading — Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Snowed In & Reading candle smell like?

Aarka Origins' Snowed In & Reading snowed in candle smells like the best possible snow-day kitchen: cool peppermint, warm winter spice, sweet honey, and steeping black tea. Peppermint's signature cooling sensation comes from menthol, which activates the same cold-sensing nerves in your skin that respond to actual low temperatures.

Is this a good gift for winter readers?

Yes — a favorite for tea drinkers, snow-day romantics, and anyone whose ideal winter is spent in a book. Wax melts from $11.99 make an easy holiday or January gift.

Is this candle handmade and 100% soy?

It is. Snowed In & Reading is hand-poured in small batches at Aarka Origins' North Carolina shop from 100% pure soy wax — no paraffin, no blends — with phthalate-free, dye-free, vegan fragrance oil and a lead-free cotton wick, one of 280+ book-inspired scents.

Care: trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn and keep burns to about 2 hours at a time to keep the melt pool even and the flame low. Browse all 280+ scents in our book candles for book lovers collection.
